Res-Q60V ePRP Announced at AAEP IN SAN DIEGO
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA, DECEMBER 10, 2008—At the 54th Annual AAEP convention in San Diego, California, attendees were introduced to Vantus Veterinary Stem Cell Laboratories—a company focused on products for equine regenerative medicine.
“We’re very excited about the promise of regenerative therapy in the field of equine medicine,” said Kim Ellner General Manager of Vantus Laboratories. “Our focus is on identifying the most promising therapies and techniques and developing products that put these tools in the hands of veterinarians in the U.S. and abroad.” To be on the leading edge of the rapidly evolving field of equine regenerative medicine, Vantus Laboratories is actively aligned with leading academic and research centers in veterinary medicine.
Vantus Laboratories previewed Res-QTM60V ePRP for platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This new technology developed specifically for equine use, enables veterinarians to access a high-quality, platelet-rich plasma at the point of care (POC). In four simple steps, the Vantus Res-QTM60V ePRP lets veterinarians rapidly process whole blood into a low hematocrit and granulocyte PRP concentrate in under 15 minutes, with minimal training. The first Res-QTM60V ePRP processor will be available in early 2009.
“Res-QTM60V ePRP is the first example of our mission to deliver practical and effective solutions to veterinarians and the prized horses they treat,” said Ellner of the company’s introductory product. “And it’s one example of how we’re committed to being at the forefront of equine regenerative medicine.”
